Sylvia Diaz-Cruz
Silvia Díaz Cruz is PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of
Barcelona (UB). She has been a professor at the UB, Ramón y Cajal
Researcher at the Institute of Chemical and Environmental Research of
CSIC (IIQAB-CSIC) and since 2012 Senior Scientist in the Department of
Environmental Chemistry of the Institute of Environmental Assessment and
Water Research of CSIC (IDAEA-CSIC). Her line of research focuses on the
study of the presence, fate, elimination, bioaccumulation /
biomagnification and environmental risk of emerging pollutants in the
environment and their transfer to humans. In particular, she has focused
on pharmaceuticals and personal care products. She has published more
than 150 scientific articles and 23 book chapters, with an H-index of 60
and more than 10.000 cites, and has led and participated in more than 50
research projects.
