MDH is a state university established in 1977 with a bi-polar campus in the cities of Eskilstuna and Vasteras, Sweden, enrolling some 13000 students, of which 1/3 in engineering. There are four schools and six research profiles. The School of Business, Society and Engineering has some 4000 students and the research profile Future Energy Center (FEC), which is participating in the FUDIPO project. MDH/FEC has approximately 27 researchers and 45 PhD students and it combines deep process know-how with deep knowledge in Applied Mathematical methods. The research focus is on Process efficiency improvements and Process developments.
